sleep & settling support

  • Health Fund & Medicare rebates are currently not available. Medicare only covers babies until they are 6 weeks old. It is currently very difficult to get any form of rebate from Private Health Fund providers despite the qualifications and experience Child & Family Health Nurses have.

    A $60 non refundable fee is included in all services with the exception of the free 15 minute phone call. See cancellations and refunds in this FAQ section.

  • The Baby Care Collective is committed to providing the best service, support and education to care for you and your baby.

    When a cancellation is made without giving adequate notice, it prevents another family from taking part in the services offered by The Baby Care Collective. The cancellation policy is our way of respecting the time commitment involved in running our services and to give those who have been unable to book in, the opportunity to attend.

    This policy outlines the process for cancellation and the fees, if applicable.

    Cancellation Process Single Session Parenting group i.e. ‘Introducing Solids.’

    Booking your place in one of our groups means that you have read and accepted our booking conditions and cancellation policy.

    Cancellation times and Refunds

    Our programs have limited availability, and for this reason, we request that you cancel 14 days prior to your scheduled group. This will give us time to contact other parents and caregivers on our waitlist and allow time to open the group bookings again if necessary, in order to give someone an otherwise missed opportunity.

    • Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of the group booking start date will receive a full refund (minus your booking fee).

    • Cancellations made within 13-7 days of the group booking start date will receive a 75% refund (minus your booking fee).

    • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the group booking start date will not receive a refund. The exception to this will be if we are able to fill your spot with another parent. In this instance you will be notified and receive a 75% refund minus the booking fee.

    • Cancellations for a Parenting Group session due to illness will not receive a refund. Every session will be available online live for the duration of the scheduled group session. Make up sessions are not able to be offered.

    Clinic Consult

    Booking your place in our clinic means that you have read and accepted our booking conditions and cancellation policy.

    Please note that all appointments attract a non refundable $60 booking fee to help offset the costs of the staff member running the clinic, clinic costs and associated administration.

    Our clinic service has limited availability, and for this reason, we request that you cancel 48-72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This will give us time to contact other parents and caregivers on our waitlist.

    If you want to reschedule your appointment, you can do this by re-booking online via the website. Please note you will be charged the non refundable booking fee of $60 as this is a new appointment.

    Zoom/Phone consult and In Home Support Services

    Please note that all consults attract a non refundable $60 booking fee to help offset the costs of the staff member allocated to the service and associated administration.

    Our services have limited availability, and for this reason, we request that you cancel 49-72 hours prior to your scheduled service. This will give us time to contact other parents and caregivers on our waitlist.

    • Cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance of the scheduled service start time of the booking, will be offered the option to re-schedule the service within 2 weeks/14 days or receive a full refund (minus your booking fee).

    • Cancellations made 49-71 hours in advance of the scheduled service start time of the booking, will be offered the option to re-schedule the service within 2 weeks/14 days or receive a 75% refund (minus your booking fee).

    • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service will not receive a refund. It will be at the sole discretion of The Baby Care Collective if you are offered the option to reschedule your service. This would occur within 2 weeks/14 days of the scheduled service date.

    Covid Cancellation

    With Covid restrictions and regulations changing so often we will do everything we can to ensure your service can be delivered safely, face to face. If we need to make changes to comply with Covid restrictions and regulations, we will notify you as soon as we are made aware of changes. Refer to the SA Health website or Facebook page for updated information.

    What does this mean for you?

    Clinic Consults will use the Zoom platform

    In Home Support will be offered in 2 parts

    Part one

    The assessment of the sleep space and discussion of your current situation will be offered over Zoom for a minimum of 1 hour on your scheduled booking date.

    Part two

    The bedside settling support will be rescheduled for a new time within 2 weeks of the original service booking date, for a minimum of 2 hours.

    How do I cancel my booking?

    Please call or message us on 0475 781 554 to cancel your booking. If you message us please identify yourself by your Full name and scheduled service booking date and time. We will send you an email outlining the next steps.

  • You get the opportunity to meet other parents who live in the same area as you. Lifelong friendships can be a result of attending a parenting group.

    You will feel more confident about caring for your baby and get information from a University qualified expert, in a relaxed and supportive environment.

    If you are offered a waitlist position you have 24 hours to respond and book. If we don’t hear from you or receive a booking we will offer it to the next available person.

  • All adult participants must be fully vaccinated.

    We have a QR code and sign in sheet in the foyer. Please sign in with the option that suits you.

    We require everyone to comply with the latest guidelines from SA Health. If you are unsure what they are you can check the SA Health website or Facebook page. We will also have spare surgical masks and hand sanitiser available.

  • Mount Barker

    The Mount Barker location is at The Pilates Depot, 20 Cameron Road. This is behind the Mount Barker Central Shopping Centre and next to the Mount Barker Mountain Pool (Swimming Pool).

    • Please use the front entrance of the The Pilates Depot as the back entrance/carpark entrance is strictly for Allied Health.

  • Mt Barker

    There is parking at the back of The Pilates Depot, but it is limited and as there will be a group directly before us, you may need to use one of the other two options.

    There is a 3 hour ground level, undercover carpark in the Mount Barker Village Shopping Centre. The carpark is located on Cameron Road and is the Kmart end of the Shopping Centre. This carpark is a few minutes walk to The Pilates Depot.

    There is a carpark on Cameron Road in front of the Mount Barker swimming pool. This carpark is a very short walk to The Pilates Depot.

  • We know how important caffeine is to sleep deprived parents however to ensure the safety of all caregivers and infants we cannot have hot drinks at any of our locations.

Discount codes

  • 1.Acceptance. By using or attempting to use the code for an offer, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.

    2. Offer Period. Promotions are only available for a limited time only, for as long as it is advertised on thebabycarecollective.com.au. THE BABY CARE COLLECTIVE has the right to cancel or change any promotion at any time without notice and in its sole discretion.

    3.Conditions. Promotions are not valid for cash or cash equivalent. Promotions cannot be applied to previous service appointments nor combined with any other offers or discounts.

    4. Qualifying promotion amount applies to service bookings only and excludes Gift Cards.

    5. Offers are non-transferable. All monetary amounts specified in these terms and conditions are in Australian dollars (AUD). Promotions may be subject to availability.

    6. 'Excluded Items' means Gift Cards unless otherwise stated.

    7. Redemption. To redeem an offer during an Offer Period, enter the advertised code into the promo code box during the checkout process . A code cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. You can only use the redemption code once unless otherwise stated.
